How to Add or Edit a System Parameter

Use the System Parameter page to add or edit an existing system parameter. The system parameter value can be updated or a new effective-date and value can be added for the system parameter.

Optionally, you can:

• Delete an entire system parameter.
• Delete an effective-dated system parameter detail.
• View or add notes. To view or add notes for this record, on the action bar, click Notes.
• View audit details. To retrieve audit information, close any open panels and, on the action bar, click Audit Log. To view the details for a particular record, click Audit.

• Reset your entries. To clear the fields and remain on the page or panel, click Reset.

• Cancel your entries. To close the page or panel without saving your changes, click Cancel.

To add or edit a system parameter

1. On the Rules Mgmt menu, click System Parameter.
2. Search for the system parameter that you want to add to make sure that it doesn't exist or that you want to edit.
3. To add or edit a system parameter, do one of the following:
   • To add, click Add System Parameter.
   • To edit, continue to the next step.
4. On the System Parameter page, in the header panel, complete the fields.

5. Optionally, to display details associated with a specific line of business (LOB) in the header panel in the Display Detail for LOB field, select the LOB, and click Filter.

   The System Parameter table is re-displayed based upon the display filters you selected.

6. To add or edit effective-dated detail, in the System Parameter panel, do one of the following:
   • To add a new effective-date and value for an existing system parameter, click Add System Parameter Details.
   • To edit an existing value, in the System Parameters table, click the appropriate row.
7. In the System Parameter panel, complete the fields.
8. To store the information in the table, on the System Parameter panel action bar, click Save.
9. On System Parameter action bar, click Save.
