How to Add or Edit a Line of Business

Each line of business is associated with only one customer. Because most ND MMIS processes use the line of business (LOB) as a key component, you must be very careful when changing its information. 

ClosedBefore you can add a new LOB, the following information must be set up in ND MMIS:

After you add an LOB, it cannot be deleted.

ClosedYou cannot edit the following information after the LOB has been added: 

On some panels on this page, you can click Add to display additional fields for adding values. Already existing values (if any) are listed in a table. Click a column heading to sort the table according to that information. You can click a table row to see fields for editing values.

Optionally, you can:

To add or edit a line of business

  1. On the Rules Mgmt menu, click Line of Business.
  2. Search for the LOB that you want to add to make sure it doesn't already exist or that you want to edit.
  3. Do one of the following:
  4. On the Line of Business page, in the Main panel, complete the fields.
  5. ClosedOptionally, to add or edit address information, complete the fields in the Address panel.
    1. Do one of the following:
      • To add an address, click Add Address.
      • To edit, in the Address table, click the appropriate row.
    2. In the Address panel, complete the fields.
    3. To store the information, on the Address panel action bar, click Save.

      If the address cannot be verified, you have the option of saving the original address, choosing one of the various versions of the corrected address, or canceling the operation.

  6. ClosedOptionally, to add or edit contact information, complete the fields in the Contacts panel.
    1. Do one of the following:
      • To add a contact, click Add Contacts.
      • To edit, in the Contact table, click the appropriate row.
    2. In the Contact panel, complete the fields.
    3. To store the information, on the Contact panel action bar, click Save.
  7. Review the information for this line of business to make sure it is accurate.
  8. On the Line of Business action bar, click Save.
