How to Close a Line of Business

You cannot delete a line of business (LOB) after it has been added. A line of business must remain in the database for historical purposes. Instead, you edit the line of business and close it, making it no longer valid.

You cannot edit the following information after the line of business has been added:

• Customer ID
• LOB ID
• Group ID for pharmacy customers

If any of this information is incorrect, you must close this line of business and add a new one with the correct information.

Optionally, you can:

• View or add notes. To view or add notes for this record, on the action bar, click Notes.
• View audit details. To retrieve audit information, close any open panels and, on the action bar, click Audit Log. To view the details for a particular record, click Audit.
• Reset your entries. To clear the fields and remain on the page or panel, click Reset.
• Cancel your entries. To close the page or panel without saving your changes, click Cancel.

To close a line of business

1. On the Rules Mgmt menu, click Line of Business.
2. Search for the LOB you want to close.
3. On the Line of Business page, in the End Date field, enter the date the line of business should no longer be valid.
4. On the Line of Business action bar, click Save.
