How to Delete a Procedure Code/COS (Category of Service) Rate Span

You can delete an existing procedure code/COS detail rate span for a line of business. In order to delete a rate span, its beginning date must be in the future. If the beginning date is in the past, the rate span can be voided.

Optionally, you can:

• Delete the entire rate and all its spans.

• View or add notes. To view or add notes for this record, on the action bar, click Notes.

• View audit details. To retrieve audit information, close any open panels and, on the action bar, click Audit Log. To view the details for a particular record, click Audit.

• Reset your entries. To clear the fields and remain on the page or panel, click Reset.

• Cancel your entries. To close the page or panel without saving your changes, click Cancel.

To delete a procedure code/COS rate span

1. On the Rules Mgmt menu, point to Rates, and then click COS.

2. Search for procedure code/COS rate with the detail span that you want to delete.

3. On the Procedure Code/COS page, in the table, click the appropriate row.
4. To remove the rate information from the table, on the Procedure Code/COS Details action bar, click Delete.
5. On the Procedure Code/COS action bar, click Save.
