How to Add a New Member

You can add a new member to the North Dakota MMIS Web Portal if the State program to which the member belongs does not send member information to ND MMIS through an automated interface.

Tip: You should determine if the individual you want to add is already a member in another State program because some of the information could be used when adding him or her to ND MMIS.

Optionally, you can:

To add a new member

  1. Search for the member you want to add to make sure he or she does not already have a record in ND MMIS.

    If a record is not found, continue to the next step.

  2. Do one of the following:
  3. On the Add New Members page, in the Member Detail panel, complete the fields.
  4. ClosedTo add confidentiality codes, in the Confidentiality Codes panel, do the following:

    1. Click Add Confidentiality Code.

    2. In the Confidentiality Code panel, complete the fields.
    3. On the Confidentiality Code action bar, click Save.

  5. To add eligibility information, in the Eligibility Info panel, complete the fields.
  6. On the Add New Members action bar, click Save.

    If required by the particular program to which the member belongs, ND MMIS searches for the entered Case Number within the selected LOB. If ND MMIS cannot locate the Case Number, the Case Information page is displayed and you must complete the next step.

    Otherwise, ND MMIS proceeds to duplicate member processing. If an exact duplicate is found, click Cancel to return to a blank Add New Member page. If a suspect duplicate is found you must complete the last step.

    Otherwise, the appropriate IDs are assigned to the member, the individual is added as new member, and enrollment processing is initiated.

  7. If the Case Number does not exist and is required, on the Case Information page, complete the fields as needed, and then on the corresponding action bar, click Save.

    ND MMIS proceeds to duplicate member processing. If an exact duplicate is found, click Cancel to return to a blank Add New Member page. If a suspect duplicate is found you must complete the last step.

  8. If a suspect duplicate is found, in the table of potential duplicates, review the suspected duplicate member(s), and then do one of the following:
