What Is Add a New Member?

A Member Specialist with the appropriate security permissions can add new members to ND MMIS using the Add a New Member function of Member if the State program to which the member belongs does not send member information to ND MMIS through an automated interface.

After a new member is added, eligibility information (at least one span) is required to update the member's record. If required by the particular program to which the member belongs, case information must also be added.

ND MMIS prevents duplicate entries when adding a new member.

After a member is successfully added, the process to determine what benefit plan is to be assigned is automatically begun.
