After you add a policy or Medicare span, it cannot be deleted. You can void or close (terminate) a policy, as appropriate. You can close a Medicare span, but you cannot void a Part A or B Medicare span. You can void a Part D PBP span. However, for every Part A or B Medicare span, there must be at least one active Part D span; so you cannot void a Part D span unless there is at least one other span that is active.
However, you can delete what services are covered for an individual during a particular policy period in the Covered Individuals panel on the Policyholder & Covered Individuals tab of the TPL Policy page.
If you are voiding an active policy that has a beginning date before the current system date (a retroactive policy period or span), you must carefully consider all the processing steps that must be completed. Denied claims with service dates that fall within that period may have adjustment requests generated to reprocess the claims and pay the provider. If you are voiding a Medicare Part D PBP span, claims are not reprocessed.
For more detailed information on voiding and closing a policy or Medicare span, see About TPL Policy
