How to Reassign Correspondence Records
You can search for and reassign one or more correspondence records (CRs) to a work unit. You can also use the Reassign All Correspondences To field to reassign all CRs to the same work unit.
To reassign a Correspondence

On the Ct Mgmt menu, point to Reassign, and then click Correspondence.
- On the Reassign Correspondence page, in the Search For Correspondence panel, complete the appropriate fields:
- To search for a specific CR record, complete the CRN field.
To search for correspondence to or from an entity, in the Correspondence For panel, do one of the following:- Complete all the fields.
If you do not have the entity information, to search for an entity, click Search Entity.
The results of your search are displayed in the Correspondence For panel.
To search for correspondence about an entity, in the Inquiring About ID panel, do one of the following:- Complete all the fields.
If you do not have the entity information, to search for an entity, click Search Entity.
The results of your search are displayed in the Inquiring About ID panel.
- To search for correspondence of a particular category, status, status date, or priority, in the unlabeled Search For Correspondence panel, complete one or more of the fields.
- To search using other search options, in the Advanced Search Options panel, complete the fields.

Click Search.
If no matches are found, a message is displayed with the option to click Reset to clear all fields and enter new search information. If too many matches are found, click Reset and search using additional options.
- In the search results table, do one of the following:
To reassign a CR, on the appropriate row, select the work unit from the Reassign To list.
You can reassign as many CRs as you want from the results table before completing the reassignments.
To reassign all CRs, select the work unit from the Reassign All Correspondence to list.
When you view the CR, the selected work unit appears in the Reassign To field.
- To reassign the correspondence, on the Reassign action bar, click Reassign.
