EDMS Defaults Page

You use the EDMS Defaults page to edit or set default values for creating a correspondence record (CR) or case record from an imaged document.

 

EDMS Defaults Fields

Field Description

To edit EDMS default values, in the table, click the appropriate row.

Document Type A specific kind of document stored in the document repository such as a prior-authorization letter, HCBS waiver, or provider enrollment form.
EDMS Type

The kind of contact management record (case or correspondence) for this document type for which you want to edit EDMS defaults.

Leave blank if you do not want a record automatically created when a document of this document type is imaged.

Case Fields

These fields are displayed if EDMS Type indicates a case.

Case Type

Indicates what a case is about.

Examples: Provider Appeal, Level of Care Determination

Status

Status of the case.

Route To Name of the user to whom a case record is routed. A case record can also be routed to a work unit.
Work Unit

The work unit to which the user belongs.

A user can belong to one or more work units. This field cannot be edited if the user belongs to only one work unit.

Examples: Enrollment Team, Maintenance Team

Correspondence Fields

These fields are displayed if EDMS Type indicates a correspondence record (CR).

Category The call reason associated with a CR.
Subject The secondary call reason that is based on the category selected.
Status

Status of the CR.

Route To Name of the user to whom a CR record is routed. A CR or case record can also be routed to a work unit.
Work Unit

The work unit to which the user belongs.

A user can belong to one or more work units. This field cannot be edited if the user belongs to only one work unit.

Examples: Enrollment Team, Maintenance Team
