How to Close a Customer

You cannot delete a customer after it has been added. A customer must remain in the database for historical purposes. Instead, you edit the customer and close it, making it no longer valid, by entering the date the customer is no longer to be considered active.

You cannot edit the following information after the customer has been added:

If any of this information is incorrect, you must close this customer and add a new customer with the correct information.

Optionally, you can:

 

To close a customer

  1. On the Rules Mgmt menu, click Customer Management.
  2. Search for and select the customer you want to close.
  3. On the Customer page, in the End Date field, enter the date the customer should no longer be valid.
  4. On the Customer action bar, click Save.
