About Carrier

Carriers include all entities that provide health or accident coverage to Medicaid members.

The Carrier component of the Third Party Liability (TPL) function of Financial is used to view, add, or edit information about third parties, such as Medicare carriers and insurance companies, from whom money is sought to reimburse the State for claims it has already paid.

An entity must be entered as a carrier before it can be billed.

If a carrier merges with another carrier or is terminated, you can use the Mass Change Request function in TPL to make the appropriate changes to multiple policies at one time.
