What Is Void/Replacement Claims?

You use the Void/Replacement function of Claims to enter void and replacement claims that have a status of Paid, To-Be-Paid, Denied, or To-Be-Denied.

A void claim completely reverses a previously adjudicated claim.

A replacement claim changes the original claim's payment amount or corrects information on the original claim. You cannot replace a claim that has an financial control number (FCN) indicating that a refund has been applied.
