How to Delete a Batch Control Record

You can delete a saved batch control record if the batch status is Active and no claims are entered in the record. Once a batch record is saved, only the Total Number of documents, Begin Document Number, and End Document Number can be changed. If any other field is incorrect, you must delete the batch record.

You can delete a batch record two ways:

Optionally, you can:

To delete a batch record from the database

  1. On the Claims menu, click Batch Control
  2. Search for the batch you want to delete.
  3. On the Batch Control page, verify that the batch is the one you want to delete.

    Note: A batch cannot be deleted if it has claims associated to it.

  4. On the Batch Control action bar, click Delete.

 

To change a batch record status to Deleted

  1. On the Claims menu, click Batch Control
  2. Search for the batch you want to delete.
  3. On the Batch Control page, verify that the batch is the one you want to delete.
  4. In the Batch Status field, select Deleted.
  5. On the Batch Control action bar, click Save.
