How to Delete a Batch Control Record

You can delete a saved batch control record if the batch status is Active and no claims are entered in the record. Once a batch record is saved, only the Total Number of documents, Begin Document Number, and End Document Number can be changed. If any other field is incorrect, you must delete the batch record.

You can delete a batch record two ways:

• Delete the record from ND MMIS.
• Change the record status to Deleted. The record is not physically deleted from ND MMIS.

Caution: Before deleting a batch control record, check your state's operational procedures to determine the preferred method.

Optionally, you can:

• View audit details. To retrieve audit information, close any open panels and, on the action bar, click Audit Log. To view the details for a particular record, click Audit.

• Reset your entries. To display the information on the page or panel as it appeared when you last clicked Save, click Reset.
• Cancel your entries. To close the page or panel without saving your changes, click Cancel.

To delete a batch record from the database

1. On the Claims menu, click Batch Control. 
2. Search for the batch you want to delete.

2. On the Batch Control page, verify that the batch is the one you want to delete.

   Note: A batch cannot be deleted if it has claims associated to it.

3. On the Batch Control action bar, click Delete.

To change a batch record status to Deleted

1. On the Claims menu, click Batch Control. 
2. Search for the batch you want to delete.
3. On the Batch Control page, verify that the batch is the one you want to delete.
4. In the Batch Status field, select Deleted.
5. On the Batch Control action bar, click Save.
