How to Search for an Event Log

Event Logging is the administrative page where you can search and view events either by inquiries made on protected health information or events logged. You can search events by user ID, event type, event category, event entity type, or event time. You must be authorized to use event logging.

There are two tabs on the Search Event Logging page:

Note: The event log cannot be accessed by most users within ND MMIS and is restricted to authorized personnel who have a need for the information presented. Also, each tab has its own access restrictions based upon your user role within ND MMIS.

To search for an event log

  1. On the Project Control menu, click Event Logging.
  2. On the Search Event Logging page, select the appropriate tab based upon the type of search you are performing:
  3. Enter the required fields.
  4. Enter at least one optional field.
  5. Click Search.

If more than one match is found, a results table with matches is displayed. Click the up or down arrow next to a column heading to sort the table in ascending or descending sequence according to that column. Click a row to display that match.

If one match is found, it is displayed instead of the results table.

If no matches are found, a message is displayed with the option to click Reset to clear all fields and enter new search information. If too many matches are found, click Reset and search using additional options.
