Event Logging Levels

Some events start scheduled processes while other events trigger alarms and alerts for various operations and system interactions. Some alarms and alerts are acted upon automatically while other requires manual intervention.

Based upon their severity, events have been classified into levels. Level I is the most severe and is considered fatal. Level II is used for errors. Level III is used for warnings. Level IV is used for information. Level V is used for debugging related information. And Level VI is the less severe and is trace related.

Below is the Log Level table being used in ND MMIS.

Trace (T)

  • Used for problem resolution

Log Message Event Format

Message labeled as informational for all North Dakota MMIS Web Portal access inquiry events are:

Where the <Name> is the name of Web page the user accessed and the <User ID> is the identifier of the user. It is the same identifier that the user entered at the time he or she logged in to North Dakota MMIS Web Portal.

Messages generated by ND MMIS use the prefix PPPnnnD where:
