Merge Suspect Duplicate Members Page

The Member Specialist can merge two suspected duplicates in ND MMIS.

The Merge Suspect Duplicate Members page contains fields in the following panels:

 

Target Information Fields

Field Description
Member Name The target member's full name.
Internal System ID

The target member's internal system ID. This is a system generated, unique, sequential number.

SSN

The target member's Social Security number.

A nine-digit number assigned by Federal government, usually assigned at the time of birth and used for tax purposes.

Format: NNN-NN-NNNN or NNNNNNNNN

Example: 123-45-6789

Note: This field cannot contain all zeros.

Date of Birth

The target member's date of birth.

Format: MM/DD/YYYY

Example: 05/23/1935

Gender

The target member's gender, usually male or female. In some cases, the gender may also be unknown.

 

Suspect Duplicates Fields

Field Description
To create a suspect duplicate relationship between the target member and another existing member, click Add Suspect Duplicate and complete the displayed fields.
Perform Merge

Indicator of how the merging of suspect duplicates will occur. The Member Specialist can request that the merging of the two members occur online or in an overnight batch process. Options are Online and Batch.

Default: Online

Name The source member's full name.
Int Sys ID

The source member's internal system identification number. This is a system generated, unique, sequential number.

SSN

The source member's Social Security number.

A nine-digit number assigned by Federal government, usually assigned at the time of birth and used for tax purposes.

Format: NNN-NN-NNNN or NNNNNNNNN

Example: 123-45-6789

Note: This field cannot contain all zeros.

DOB

The source member's date of birth.

Format: MM/DD/YYYY

Example: 05/23/1935

Gender

The source member's gender, usually male or female. In some cases, the gender may also be unknown.

Reason Code The reason the member's information is a suspect duplicate.
Source Code The source of the suspected duplicate information, such as from the eligibility interface.
Merge If selected, merges a member's information. Only one row can be set to Merge for each transaction.
Exclude If selected, excludes a member's information. Multiple rows can be set to Exclude. Exclude means that the suspect duplicate relationship is removed from these two individuals and the system no longer considers them as suspect duplicates.

 

Add Suspect Duplicate Fields

Field Description
Member ID The member's unique, individual identifier in ND MMIS. ND MMIS captures many different identifiers (known as "Alternate IDs") for a member and selects one (known as the Member ID) which is used on all displays, reports, correspondence, etc.
Member ID Type

The type of Alternate ID being used as the Member ID.

Examples: 12345678901 if Member ID type is MID, 123456789 if Member ID is SSN.

To search for the Member ID and Member ID Type, click Search.
Duplicate Reason Code The reason why the member information is a suspected duplicate.
Transaction Source Code The transaction source code for the duplicate information.
