Map Definition Search Page

The Map Definition Search page is used to locate a map.

The Map Definition Search page contains the following panels:

 

Search Filters Fields

Field Description
To add a map, on the action bar, click Add Map Definition.

Line of Business

The options for each line of business to which you have access and an additional option for maps that can be used by all LOBs. You can select more than one LOB.

If you select both the system-wide choice and one or more individual lines of business, results include the maps that can be used across all lines of business plus all the maps defined only for the selected LOBs.

Map Type

The kind of map.
Map ID

The unique code that identifies the map. Can be used with the Starts With or Contains option. Leave blank to search for all maps.

Map Description

The descriptive name of the map. Can be used with the Starts With or Contains option. Leave blank to search for all maps.

Data Element Name The data elements (parameters) associated with the selected map type. Used to narrow your search to maps containing only this data element and the value entered in the Field Value field.
Field Value

A valid value for the data element selected in the Data Element Name field.

Note: Required if searching by data element name.

Starts With

The Starts With option tells the system to retrieve all records that start with the search criteria entered.

Example: If you type Sm in a Last Name field and select the Starts With option, your results will include records with last names Smith and Smyth, but not McSmyth.

At least two characters must be entered when free-form text is used as search criteria.

Contains

The Contains option tells the system to retrieve all records that include the associated search field somewhere in the text. At least 2 characters must be entered in the search field to use the Contains option.

Example: If you type Neil in a Last Name field and select the Contains option, your results will include records with last names O'Neil and Neilson.

 

Search Results Fields

Field Description
If more than one match is found, this table is displayed. To view a match, click the appropriate row. None of these fields can be edited.
Map ID

The unique code that identifies the map.

Line of Business

The unique code that identifies the line of business, a high-level payer, or funding source such as Medicaid.

Map Type The kind of map.
Map Description

The descriptive name of the map.
