The Customer Search page is used to locate customer information.
The Customer Search page contains the following panels:

To add a customer, on the action bar, click Add Customer. | |
Customer ID |
The unique code that identifies the state or commercial enterprise that has a contract to use ND MMIS and the North Dakota MMIS Web Portal. Normally, there is only one customer per implementation. Leave blank to search for all customers. Can be used with the Starts With option. |
Customer Name |
The descriptive name of the customer. Can be used with the Starts With or Contains option. |
Starts With |
The Starts With option tells the system to retrieve all records that start with the search criteria entered. Example: If you type Sm in a Last Name field and select the Starts With option, your results will include records with last names Smith and Smyth, but not McSmyth. At least two characters must be entered when free-form text is used as search criteria. |
Contains |
The Contains option tells the system to retrieve all records that include the associated search field somewhere in the text. At least 2 characters must be entered in the search field to use the Contains option. Example: If you type Neil in a Last Name field and select the Contains option, your results will include records with last names O'Neil and Neilson. |

If more than one match is found, this table is displayed. To view a match, click the appropriate row. None of these fields can be edited. |

Customer ID | The unique code that identifies the customer. |
Customer Name | The descriptive name of the customer. |
Date Range |
The date the customer becomes active to the date the customer is no longer an active client. |
Customer Type |
The general kind of business performed by the customer. For example, a government, a pharmacy, a non-commercial enterprise. |
